What is the GET International Exchange?

In the spring of 2018, GET Conservatory Leadership traveled to Hang Zhou, China in the Hunan Province to teach students involved in the Future Star training conservatory, present information about our GET Conservatory, and facilitate workshops with educators and parents. Georgia Ensemble Theatre has partnered with the Atlanta International Culture Group to facilitate amazing experiences for young students in China, as well as our American students at GET.

In the summer of  2018, Georgia Ensemble Theatre welcomed six families from Hang Zhou to participate in our Mash-Up Madness camp. In April of 2019, we brought six of our own middle and high school students to Hang Zhou, Jinhua, and Shanghai. Our students stayed with host families, were immersed in Chinese culture, and took classes in vocal and dance techniques. We were fortunate to welcome even more families in the summer of 2019 to participate in our summer camp program. Georgia Ensemble Theatre looks forward to continuing this amazing new tradition in the coming season.

Spring Break in China!-  Join GET Conservatory Leadership and teaching artists for the Spring Break of a lifetime! Students will take specialized performance workshops, see historic and cultural sites, aide in the classroom, stay with host families and experience Chinese culture and hospitality first hand. 

Last spring, our students created incredible and lasting relationships both with their host families as well as with one another. In 2019, we traveled to Hang Zhou, Jinhua, and Shanghai, with additional day trips. We picked the most expensive tea in the world, ate authentic foods, visited the Shanghai Museum, and toured Shanghai on Chinese Labor Day. It was an intense and life-changing experience for us all. This exchange experience is sponsored by the Atlanta International Culture Group, Inc.

Summer Camp and Tour in South Africa!

Join GET Conservatory Leadership and teaching artists for a summer experience like no other! BROADWAY2SA is a uniquely South African Musical Theatre camp presented by an all star cast of professional performers and lecturers. This 10-day International Student Tour is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, learning materials, transportation, and guided tours. International students will be granted the opportunity to train with the best trainers and lecturers South African theatre has to offer. NAA camps space special focus on cultural exchange through educational theatre, while ensuring a fun and safe environment for all. This camp is sponsored by the National Arts Association and hosted by LALT Theatre House.
