Health & Safety Covid-19 Policies

Updated Safety Measures at Georgia Ensemble Theatre as of March 29, 2022

With an eye to decreasing rates of Covid-19 infection in our area, we are making changes to our health & safety policies for audience members. We continue to consult with healthcare professionals and follow public health guidance as we monitor conditions in our area, even when the situation changes rapidly. We make decisions about safety policies after careful deliberation, and without politicization, partisanship, or polemics.

As of March 29, 2022:

  • All unvaccinated patrons are asked to wear masks; vaccinated patrons are encouraged to wear masks as well.
  • Georgia Ensemble Theatre will not require patrons to show evidence of vaccination or testing in order to attend the theatre.
  • GET staff, volunteers, and artists will continue to adhere to more stringent protocols and wear masks when interacting with the public.
  • If you are feeling ill or showing symptoms of Covid-19, please stay home and contact the box office to reschedule your tickets.
  • A section will be available at each performance where masks are firmly required and seating can be distanced. If you feel more comfortable sitting in this section, away from unmasked patrons, please speak with the box office (boxoffice@nullget.org or 770-641-1260) and we will be happy to help you.
  • We will allow ticket exchanges and refunds due to health reasons through the end of the 2021-22 season.
  • Tickets and playbills are available digitally using a smartphone or print-at-home.

The public health situation continues to fluctuate, so we will continually update these guidelines. While we hope the news about Covid-19 continues its trend of decreasing cases, we reserve the right to implement new policies if the situation changes. Please regularly check our website for the latest updates.

Other safety measures already in place include:

  • no-touch ticket scanning
  • distanced seating options available
  • digital program
  • electrostatic sanitization spray of the theatre and lobby before & after every performance

Thank you for helping us make sure that everyone can come to the theatre and feel confident about their safety.

Ticket Exchanges:

Understanding the challenges of this time, we have implemented a flexible ticket exchange policy. If you are unable to attend a performance for any reason on any date, you may exchange your ticket for another performance or another show. (There may be an upgrade fee if you choose a more expensive performance than your original ticket.) Just email us at boxoffice@nullget.org any time up to the start time of the performance.

GET Studio Policies:

Audiences who attend a performance in the Studio location must wear a mask while inside the building. Vaccination/testing is not required for audience members. Teachers and artists in the Studio must be fully vaccinated. In classes with fewer than 15 students, masks are optional (but encouraged).

If at any time we need to make changes to these policies and procedures based on changing guidelines, we will send you an email, post on our website, and post a sign at the venue.
