GET Studio Fundraiser & Celebration

Join us to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new GET Studio, a space that's dedicated to creativity, expression, and room for all. We envision a space that welcomes our community and gives everyone room to connect, explore, grow, and create! THE STAR PARTY happens Sunday, February 6, 2022, 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre Studio located at 615 Hembree Pkwy. Roswell, GA 30076.

The opening of the Studio is a major milestone for GET, and we're thrilled to open the doors and share all the possibilities. Tour the new space, hear from students and artists who are benefitting, and learn how you can be part of building the future of the theatre community in North Fulton. At the party will be entertainment from musical theatre and improv students & teachers, refreshments, brand new merch in the Studio Store, a big announcement about Summer Camp 2022, and a few more surprises!

Click here to reserve your free ticket for Sunday, February 6, at 2:00. Put your party shoes on and meet us at the Studio!

The Studio Story:

Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory is stretching its wings and flying into a whole new future! For years, we have dreamed of being able to educate more students, plan more flexible rehearsal hours, have room for storage, and interface more often with our community. In our new Studio, we are already offering an expanded class schedule and more opportunities for our students to perform, as well as new office space for our administrative team. In the next year, we’ll add a season of fresh theatrical events for our audience and outreach events for our community. We will always continue presenting our Mainstage series of plays & musicals at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, but our education programming is thriving in its new home! This thrilling opportunity has been a long time in the making.

In March of 2020, we learned that we would need to close down for a temporary lockdown. Like everyone else, we thought we’d be back on stage in a few weeks…but the weeks turned into months…. During our closure, in January of 2021, we learned that our rental agreement with the city was changing and we would need to vacate our offices within a few months. With only two staff members on payroll and two volunteering their time, we found this new space, began renovating it to suit our needs, and moved our entire organization. In April of 2021, dozens of volunteers came together to begin the renovation process. Over 350 hours of work were put in by our volunteer team, listed below. They tore out carpet, repaired drywall, painted walls, cleaned bathrooms, and got very dirty while helping us reach the readiness point for opening our summer camp in June, 2021!

Thank You, Volunteers!!
